Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the ground rules for using MoolKey. It’s part of our Terms of Service. The goal is simple: keep the Service safe, lawful, and reliable for everyone.

You may

  • Use MoolKey to derive and manage your own passwords and PINs.
  • Use it for your team or organization under a paid plan.
  • Use MoolKey offline on your own devices, with or without a connection.

You may not

  • Use the Service to break the law or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Access accounts, data, or systems you’re not authorized to access.
  • Attempt to derive, guess, or brute-force another person’s credentials.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without our prior written consent, or breach any security or authentication measures.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service — for example through denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests, or abuse of our rate limits.
  • Reverse engineer the hosted Service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the hosted Service as your own.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malware, or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Misuse our trademarks or impersonate MoolKey.

Security research

We welcome good-faith security research. If you believe you’ve found a vulnerability, please report it tohello@moolkey.com before disclosing it publicly, and give us reasonable time to respond. Don’t access or modify other users’ data, and don’t degrade the Service while testing.

Your responsibilities

You’re responsible for keeping your private phrase to yourself, for securing the devices you use MoolKey on, and for complying with the law in your jurisdiction. This AUP governs the Service we operate.

Enforcement

Violations may result in warning, suspension, or termination of access, and where appropriate, referral to law enforcement. We’ll use reasonable judgment and, where practical, give notice — but we may act immediately to protect the Service or its users.
